Mystic Smoke Heart by Kim Miles
This double strand necklace is too incredible for words. You want something for your little black dress or suit, or possibly something for your little black jeans for the coming season? How about picturing YOU--in cooler weather!--in front of a fire, like the princess you are, wearing your beautiful self, a fur throw, and this necklace. Or you in your pyjamas and this necklace. Every way, it is passionately made and you will love it passionately. It is a complex design. The outside holds the heart by Kim. The lamp work bead by her is one of my favorites. It is inlaid with garnet czs and swirls upward with plumes of black in a cream and mocha and white and all in all there is just generally an upward sweep. All of it is encased in clear. I used a pattern of fantastic Turkish silver on the outside with a few Swarovskis. The inner neckace has a different pattern and goes in sets of threes with random Turkish and sterling and Swarovski beads incredibly coming out the proper length. What an abundance! The back clasp is a piece of vintage glass faceted and set in sterling. Perfect! It is a very sensuous necklace. You will look so good it, it will take the viewer's breath away! Just pure beauty. Sealed with a kiss. It is a beauty.

Angry Flower Goes to the Prom necklace
This remarkable "Angry Flower" bead was made by Cathy(who I call Aard), of Aardvark Art Glass (the reason I call her "Aard", obviously. I will have a hard time parting with it. It has a "je ne sais quois" about it which would make it suitable for any occasion, from a first date (write me before you wear if on a first date, please) to a Special Ed Meeting where you want to be reckoned with by your School District while you insist upon more services for your children. Trust me, they will listen to you if you are wearing this necklace. Then again you could just wear this walking down the street in NYC, in a t shirt and jeans, and you would be the latest sensation. It's true. The colors, something Cathy-Aard, who wins awards right and left for her beads, are fantastic!!! I duded this up (hence the title of the necklace--in Western cuisine, when your chili is "going to the prom", you have put every thing you can think of, as a topping for it, out, in a festive manner, for your guests). I used the finest Swarovski crystals in Light Colorado Topaz, which look like a bright lemon, a few in Padparadscha, to pick up the color of the angry squiggly vein in the right eye as you face the bead, and Vitrails which have every color under the sun in them. I used lots and lots of silver and a few seed beads, plus some stunning glass Venetian style beads which glamorize the blues in the bead flower petals. To really top it off right, I used a Swarovski and sterling clasp with blue polka dots. Ah!-it is amazing how great this came out! It looks fantastic on! You will make friends and amaze people in this necklace. There is nothing that isn't charming about this piece! I love it!

Delicate Byzantine with Kim Miles petite mandala bead
This is a graduated byzantine in sterling, which gets smaller toward the back, and has a bali screwball clasp with an extra secure snap bar on it. I made it so that I could see what one of Kim's new pendants would look like on it, and it looks STUNNING. This is not a large necklace. You need to have a small neck. Or an average neck. It is flat out gorgeous!!! and perfectly made by me, and I LOVE it. Kim did the wiring on the pendant. She rocks at that! What a piece!

I Give My heart to You Necklace
Alicia Abla makes great lampwork beads! This heart bead is a recent innovation of hers, a new style, with facets that you can't really see in the photo...however it is very textural and organic, great colors yet with fine drawn black lines which add to the fascination. The design on the back is interesting as well. Not a heart, but more of a scrolly swirl. I responded to this bead immediately, and I had a really good time stringing it with labradorite which is also faceted and accentuates the sense of the bead's shape, and a really unusual stone called phosphosiderite, which has a color similar ro lepidolite. There is also some faceted amethyst, some Erinite Swarovski rounds, Violet Opal Swarovkis, some liquid silver, a few seed beads, and some Turkish silver, with a simple scroll toggle clasp in sterling. You can wear this necklace backward if you want to hide your heart away, one day, if you're in a MOOD!, but I fall for hearts every time. This is some of my finest work. But then again, all my work is my finest work. I love this necklace--it is a BABE of a necklace! I bet you will be delighted with it if you choose it! Check it out full size! Thank you!

Queen of Hearts Necklace
Jill Newman makes the most amazing beads of polymer! Her poufed heart bead is so eloquent and wonderful! Her use of color is outstanding. Every time I aquire a Jill bead (also known as a Tatercat Studio bead) I have to think really hard about how to present it. This necklace, because of her heart bead, has an otherworldly presence and is staggerly beautiful. It has little vermeil hexagonal beads and lime Austrian Swarovski crystals to bring out the green I see in the eyes of the Queen. The faceted turquoise briolettes go especially well with the back of the bead, which swirls with the padparadscha tones I accentuated with Swarovski rounds on the collar, as well. The little clasp is a hook and eye, and the choker is an average size. This is a remarkable necklace and one which I am proud of. People will stop you on the street if you are wearing this.

Art Deco/Boho Chic
This is a very elegant yet wild necklace, with a unique and superb polymer and resin focal by Klew (Karen Lewis). She uses so many colors, so wonderfully! I wirewapped charms to sterling chain, adding an intriguing combination, including moss agate, tree agate, Swarovski crystals in erinite and colorado topaz, faceted onyx, and sterling headpins with white topaz diamond shaped tips. Klew's focal is totally terrific and the fringe is very sexy! This is one fine piece! $370.00 contact me please :)

Vamp Necklace
This sensuous and lovely necklace adorned the pages of Stringing Magazine, Winter 2007. Picture it on your neck for the rest of the season and into next...Perhaps a Valentine's Day gift to yourself? It has tiny faceted garnets and fine grape-y colored Rhodolite garnet drops, with golden vermeil spacers and an incredible swirly double gold-filled pendant which is amazing looking, with more tiny garnets in front. The vermeil clasp in back is adjustable and hooks behind your swan like neck (..."darling, could you give me a hand with this?") , and it is finished off with a gloriously fab lustrous coin pearl adorned with more tiny garnets. There are pearl earrings which match this on the earring page, by the way. Perfection! I had to place the photo of this next to the description because my photoshop is a little discombobulated at the moment. Sorry bout that! I just love this design and was very proud it made Stringing. It is extremely feminine and pretty and sort of sexy, too. I would wear it dressed up and sit around in some sort of velvety outfit drinking merlot and listening to Bing Crosby. Or Elvis Costello. What's your fantasy? This necklace will take your hand and lead the way!
